The Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses :

• studies specific nutritional problems referred by the Codex Alimentarius Commission;
• drafts provisions on nutritional aspects for all foods;
• develops guidelines, general principles, and standards for foods for special dietary uses;
• considers , amends if necessary, and endorses provisions on nutritional aspects of foods for special dietary uses, in cooperation with other Committees where necessary;
• considers other matters assigned to it by the Commission in relation to food inspection and certification systems.
